Except as otherwise provided in the federal law, the Government of Nepal shall fix the date for conducting the election. But before setting the date of such election, the government of Nepal should consult the Commission.
(2) In accordance with sub-section (1), the notice specifying the election date will be published in the Nepal Gazette.
